Write to the press
Describe the text, the language, the quantity, and the date. We reply from the atelier with paper notes and a time estimate — not an instant quote machine.
How to brief a job
Language, quantity, date
A useful letter names three facts before it names a colour. Which language should be set — Hebrew, Latin script, or both on one sheet? How many objects do you actually need, counted as cards, sheets, or a single ketubah? On what date must the paper be in a hand, a frame, or a suitcase?
Spell names as they should appear, including nikkud if you want pointing, and accents if the Latin line carries them. For a ketubah, say who supplies the officiant’s approved text; we will not invent clauses. A ceremony date is more useful than the word urgent. Type shows haste.
- Language
- Hebrew, English or another European language in roman and italic, or a bilingual setting with a hairline between.
- Quantity
- The number you will use, not a round figure for a warehouse. See the edition sizes we can stand beside.
- Date
- Month and year, or the morning of a ceremony. Friday collections close at 13:00; Saturday the door is locked.
Hours
When the stone is staffed
The atelier answers the telephone and receives visitors during the hours below. Proofs and finished sheets may be collected then, or packed for courier if you write first. We do not keep a Saturday counter and we do not pretend a night slot exists for a last-minute flyer.

Bezalel access
The piano nobile, not a shop floor
The entrance is on Bezalel Street. Ring for the piano nobile — the working floor above the street. There is no retail window and no queue ticket. If you are coming to stand at a make-ready, write ahead; a form on the stone is not a public exhibition.
The old art-school quarter is a short walk; the lanes of Nahlaot begin a few minutes west. Street parking is scarce and not a studio service. Couriers should be given the street number, the company name, and the telephone, not a ketubah text.
Visitors expecting a copy counter are redirected. The door is a press room door.
Commission form
Tell us what should be printed
This form does not send across the network from a static page. Use it to gather the details, then email the studio, or telephone during open hours.
What we refuse
Jobs that belong elsewhere
- Bulk flyers, photocopy stacks, and anything that belongs on a toner drum.
- Wedding magazines, tourist leaflets, and short-run digital books.
- Gold foil, glitter stocks, and boards sold as “letterpress texture” that have never met a press.
- Halakhic wording invented in the studio; a ketubah needs the officiant’s text.
- Editions large enough to need a warehouse, an ISBN, or a binding line.
- Work on skin, fabric souvenirs, or any surface that is not paper we can impress.
If the job wants a plate, a make-ready, and a quiet afternoon, write. If it wants five hundred identical sheets by morning, this is the wrong door.

The limestone building sits on Bezalel Street in the old art-school quarter. From the Nahlaot lanes it is a short walk east; from Jaffa Road, south toward the academy streets. Ring for the piano nobile. There is no shop sign designed to stop a tour group.
Parcels go out under the studio name. Give a courier the street number and the telephone, not the text of the edition. Company No. 515772019.
